Our Mission
1. Introduce people to Jesus in positive ways. We are called to present Him in our daily lives. We need to resemble Him and be a people who keep their word, who love so much it makes us sick when we hurt someone else. This is in part what it means to present Jesus, who empowers us to love so.
2. Disciple believers through small groups within the church. One of the most impressive Wesleyan organizational inventions was his small group emphasis (societies, class meetings, etc.) – a group of 12-15 people under a leader. These were intimate, caring, disciplined groups whose members helped one another “grow in grace”.
3. Relieve suffering where we find it. The church is called to reach out and touch the “hurting” where they are and in His name accept, heal and love them.
4. Reach out in our community and minister to all children, especially those in poverty. We pray that our Sunday School, Vacation Bible School, Youth Ministry, Scouting Programs, C.H.A.S.E. (After School Program and Day Care) will be used in this vision to help children and youth.
Our mission is simple: To commit ourselves individually and as an open, loving, Christian community to foster discipleship in Jesus Christ. Our Goals are:
- To be God’s people transformed by Jesus Christ.
- To witness to God’s love.
- To love one another.
- To make effective disciples.
- To serve the world for Him.
